By adhering to strict quality assurance protocols, FDQAssess guarantees a reliable testing experience for all users. Explore the latest opportunities and make sure to keep checking for the latest job vacancies External Quality Assurance (EQA) Consultants - Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland FDQ Ltd is seeking expressions of interest from experienced External Quality Assurance (EQA) consultants to support our growing portfolio of qualifications and assessment services. Ideally EQACs will have worked in a food and drink related industry or training establishment and be familiar with standard operating practices. As an awarding organisation with a strong reputation for quality, credibility and sector insight, FDQ works with a wide range of food and drink centres, employers and FE institutions across the UK and Ireland. We are wishing to increase our pool of EQA consultants with the expertise to help us maintain high standards and support continuous improvement. About the role Working on a consultancy basis, EQA consultants with FDQ may be asked to: Provide external quality assurance across regulated and/or unregulated qualifications Review assessment design, delivery, marking and internal quality assurance Support centres to understand and meet awarding organisation and regulatory requirements Produce clear, evidence‑based reports with constructive feedback Contribute to standardisation, risk management and quality improvement activity Engagements will be ad hoc and flexible, depending on expertise and operational need. What we are looking for We are particularly interested in expressions of interest from consultants based in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, especially those with experience of supporting food and drink training providers and colleges in these regions. We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate: Proven EQA experience, ideally within awarding, apprenticeship, or regulated qualification contexts Strong working knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, assessment principles and compliance requirements Experience of working, training or assessing in a food and drink occupation Professional independence and sound judgement, with the confidence to provide appropriate challenge Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing Experience of working with Ofqual‑regulated qualifications or apprenticeships is especially welcome. Level 3 Food Industry Technologist - ST0198 End-point Assessment The Level 3 Food Industry Technologist End-point Assessment (EPA) consists of three elements: Written Knowledge Test Workplace project and Presentation Professional Dialogue and Interview The End-point Assessment must be completed within 12 weeks of the EPA Gateway. FDQ Dynamic Provider-Led Assessment FDQ Dynamic is our provider-led assessment pathway, designed to integrate assessment throughout the apprenticeship programme. Training providers lead much of the assessment while working alongside FDQ, creating a collaborative approach that supports apprentices throughout their learning journey. FDQ Direct Awarding Organisation-Led Assessment FDQ Direct is designed for organisations that prefer a familiar, awarding organisation-led approach to apprenticeship assessment. Closely aligned to the current End-Point Assessment model, it offers a straightforward transition while maintaining the trusted quality and consistency you expect from FDQ.
