Level 2 Fishmonger ST0194

Fishmonger apprentices may work in independent high street fishmongers, supermarket fish counters or even mobile fishmonger vans. The fishmonger apprenticeship is about so much more than filleting fish. A fishmonger also needs excellent customer service and selling skills to develop good relationships with their customers.

The fishmonger end-point assessment (EPA) consists of three elements:

  • A knowledge test, answered through a combination of multiple choice and extended answer questions

  • A practical observation, taking place over 6-8 hours

  • A professional dialogue and interview, which is held only after the first two assessments have been completed successfully

The end-point assessment should be completed within twelve weeks of the EPA gateway.

The standard charge for EPA is 15-20% of the IfATE maximum funding rate, to view FDQ's Fee's Policy click here
