Committed to working together in Wales
FDQ is proud to work on food and drink craft and manufacturing apprenticeships in Wales and other technical and vocational programmes.
By working together we support the Welsh Government’s Skills Strategy to provide routes for learners to develop the skills food industry employers want.
Our commitment to Wales is a longstanding one. In fact, we’ve been working with the Welsh Government, providers and employers to provide high-quality qualifications and services for over 20 years and will continue to do so.

We offer a wide range of qualifications which can support the delivery of funded qualifications and endorsed programmes. If you’re looking for something more bespoke – such as additional qualifications or recognition for your training programmes, get in touch

Proficiency & Regulatory Qualifications
FDQ is recognised as a regulated awarding organisation by Qualifications Wales. We’re the UK's only food specialist awarding organisation and as such have close links with the food industry. Working with industry means we’re able to develop qualifications that give learners the most up-to-date and relevant knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

All qualifications are delivered and assessed in English. Welsh language versions
can be made available where there is sufficient demand.
Apprenticeships
The Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW) framework sets out the minimum requirements for Welsh apprenticeships.
We have redeveloped the proficiency qualifications for each pathway and we're proud to be the sole Awarding Organisation able to provide the relevant Diplomas that are required in the framework and designated by Qualification Wales (QiW).
The Food and Drink Sector framework sets out qualification requirements for the sector occupational pathways. Details may be found in the online library for SASW frameworks. See the link below for further information.
