We have been developing qualifications for over 20 years, backed by the Food and Drink Training and Education Council (FTC) and the Institute of Meat (IoM).
From just starting off with our Level 2 Butcher standard, we have since grown our portfolio of qualifications, continuing to support the food and drink industry and apprenticeships. FDQ first began in 2005 but our roots trace back to 1946, with the establishment of the Institute of Meat.
As a food specialist awarding body and end-point assessment organisation the food and drink industry is at the heart of everything we do. Part of the FTC group, we’re a not-for-profit organisation which enables us to focus on doing the right thing, not driving the bottom line.
